Poster Title (Resist the temptation for long titles) Author A, Author B, Author C, Author D and Author E Address or affiliation, Address or affiliation, Address or affiliation- City & State TEXT: Use 50 words of less in each section, use phrases or bullet points, use Times or Helvetica font and size 24 for text and 36 for headings Introduction Brief summary of problem being addressed Describe nature of the problem; what is known about the problem; Project/study question of importance that led to the project Any current data and/or variations of practice that supports that problem exists Any evidence from literature as appropriate Aim Specific aim or purpose ( changes/ improvements) of proposed intervention(s) Results Importing / inserting files… Images such as photographs, graphs, diagrams, etc, can be added to the poster. Limit use of clip art. To insert scanned images into your poster, go through the menus as follows: Insert / Picture / From File… then find the file on your computer, select it, and press OK. The best type of image files to insert are JPEG or TIFF, JPEG is the preferred format. Be aware of the image size you are importing. Do not use images from the web. Notes about graphs… For simple graphs use MS Excel, or do the graph directly in PowerPoint. Graphs done in a scientific graphing programs (eg. SPSS) should be saved as JPEG or TIFF if possible. Acknowledgments Who helped with the project, what team, support received. always indicate specifics of any grant funding received Conclusions or Discussion Explain how this project met the AIM / Purpose Reasons for differences between expected outcome snd real outcomes of the project How was this applied to the setting and to practice How will it make a difference How will you continue to meet the gains Any Lessons Learned Results (or Outcomes) Include either graphs, trends, data points to showcase your results What does data show Include analysis of the data Does data support your planned intervention How does data after project compare to any baseline data Methods Describe setting and stakeholders Describe the intervention(s) with key points of what was done and how this could be replicated(-e.g. main factors; how implemented; what steps taken; who involved,….) If you received IRB approval for this project and for this presentation then indicate in a statement Describe procedures used to assess the outcome of intervention How & what data collected If using any instruments or tools taken from literature always cite the source and include in the reference section and if copyrighted must include “used with permission of…..” Captions to be set in Times or Times New Roman or equivalent, italic, between 18 and 24 points.
