2 Introduction Christ's second coming is past. Final judgment is past.
End of the world is past. Spiritual adultery. Denies the resurrection of the dead. Galatians 1:8-9: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Examining Realized Eschatology

3 Examining Realized Eschatology Part 3: The Final Judgment
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

4 "A future judgment is no more needed than a future cross."
The final judgment RE teaches the final judgment took place in 70 a.d. "A future judgment is no more needed than a future cross." King, SOP-1, p. 80 RE teaches there will NOT be a universal judgment day at the end of time when all men will give an account of their lives. Is this true? Did Jesus' coming in judgment of the world occur almost 2,000 years ago? Examining Realized Eschatology

5 Final judgment past? Old Testament
Ecclesiastes 1:9: “Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.”; cf. Dan. 9:20-27 Examining Realized Eschatology

6 Final judgment past? Old Testament
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. 14 For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.”; cf. 2 Cor. 5:10 Examining Realized Eschatology

7 Final judgment past? New Testament
Matthew 5:21-22: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” Examining Realized Eschatology

8 Final judgment past? New Testament Matthew 12:36: “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” Examining Realized Eschatology

9 Final judgment past? New Testament
Matthew 11:21-24: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”; cf. Matt. 25:32; Rom. 14:11; 2 Cor. 5:10 Examining Realized Eschatology

10 Final judgment past? New Testament
Matthew 12:41-42: “The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. 42 The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.”; cf. 1 Cor. 5:24, 54 Examining Realized Eschatology

11 Final judgment past? New Testament
Acts 17:30-31: “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”; cf. Matt. 25:32 Examining Realized Eschatology

12 Final judgment past? New Testament Romans 14:10b: “For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”; cf. Matt. 25:32; Rom. 14:11 Examining Realized Eschatology

13 Final judgment past? New Testament
2 Corinthians 5:10-11a: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…”; cf. Matt. 24:16 Examining Realized Eschatology

14 Final judgment past? New Testament
Hebrews 9:27-28: “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.”; cf. 1 Jn. 3:5; Acts 17:311; 2 Tim. 4:8 Examining Realized Eschatology

15 Final judgment past? New Testament 2 Peter 2:4: “For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment...”; cf. Jude 6 Examining Realized Eschatology

16 Final judgment past? New Testament 2 Peter 2:9: “then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment…”; cf. Lk. 16:19-31 Examining Realized Eschatology

17 Final judgment past? New Testament Revelation 20:10: “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”; cf. 2 Cor. 11:14; 1 Pet. 5:8; Rom. 11:22; Acts 17:30-32 Examining Realized Eschatology

18 Final judgment past? New Testament
Revelation 20:11-15: “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”; cf. 1 Cor. 15:24, 26 Examining Realized Eschatology

19 Conclusion Galatians 1:6 Ephesians 4:4-5 Jeremiah 616 Hebrews 9:28
RE clearly at odds w/scriptures concerning the final judgment. We are concerned for those caught up in RE. But it is undeniably a "damnable heresy" ! 2 Pet. 3:1 Galatians 1:6 Ephesians 4:4-5 Jeremiah 616 Hebrews 9:28 Acts 17:31 Titus 2:13 Examining Realized Eschatology
