Goal: To factor out a common factor of a polynomial

2. Factoring
Find a number and/or variable that is divisible by all numbers in the expression

3. Divisible by… 2 if last digit is an even number.
3 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3
4 if the number formed by the last two digits is divisible by 4
5 if the number ends in 0 or 5
7 Nike Rule: “just do it” (long division)
9 if the sum of the digits  by 9
10 if the last digit is a zero.
