2 Abstract Faculty are experimenting with the use of wikis and other social computing tools to motivate students beyond passive information assimilation towards collaborative knowledge construction. This session is for blended and online instructors looking for effective ways to improve collaboration on group and individual projects.

Engage students in inquiry-based learning Enable students to collaboratively author paper or project (organized by content rather than chronology) Prepare students to be informed participants/ consumers of publicly available wikis (wikipedia.org) Address student understanding of content standards while improving their technology knowledge and skills (double loop learning)
