When we belong to Christ and have the Spirit of God in us we ought to see it demonstrated in a powerful way in our lives.

3. QUESTIONS TO ANSWER
What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? What does it look like? How can we be filled with the Spirit?

4. What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit?
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit… Ephesians 5:18

5. What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit?
And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ Romans 8:9b

6. What does it look like?
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh Galatians 5:16

7. What doesn’t it look like?
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft… Galatians 5:19-20a

8. What doesn’t it look like?
... hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy…

9. What it looks like?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22 -23a
Saying “No” to the sinful nature
Having ever-increasing fruit of the Spirit in our lives

10. Prayer
"We’re all born with a deadly emptiness in our spirits that cries out to be filled with the Father’s love. Perhaps you’ve come face-to-face with this emptiness in your own heart. Don’t despair. Because I promise, God is pursuing you and calling out to you with his love. "

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! Luke 11:13

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
