Sonar applications to control submerged noxious & native nuisance plants (April, 17.4 acres treated with sonar)
Divers completed Brazilian Elodea survey (June, Ecology grant)
Remaining permitted 33 acres were to be treated with Aquathol
When county declined use of Aquathol, funds were moved to harvesting because too late in season to apply other herbicides
Mechanical harvesting of 48.5 acres during 2 sessions, primarily for outbreak of Water Nymph (Nyads)
Pre-July 4: 11 days with 1 harvester (130,000 lbs)
Late August: 13 days with 2 harvesters (130,000 lbs)
