4 Physician Interactions Other Learner Interactions
Scope of the Enterprise 2014 Reporting Year Physician Interactions Other Learner Interactions 13,599,687 11,587,518 The scope of the national CME system is significant This data is from our Annual Report, available on our website As there are only 800,000 physicians in the US, you can see that each physician has many interactions with CME each year A lot of data!! Activities Hours of Instruction 147,024 1,033,615 1,908 Accredited Providers

5 Creating PARS 2010 Activity Reporting Satisfies Multiple Requirements
Year-end Reaccreditation Review Increased efficiency and flexibility Single reporting mechanism Always available for continuous use Common standards for communicating data MEMS 2010

6 Expansion

7 Case Study 1 FDA ER/LA Opioid REMS 2013
Project Commissioned by REMS Program Companies (RPC) ACCME as participant in MEMS 2.0 working group PARS Expansion to include REMS fields Mems provided a starting point and a context for the project. Enabled the working group to accomplish its goals more efficiently and in a faster timeframe that might have otherwise been possible. 2013

8 ER/LA Opioid REMS CME Activities
As of April 2016 in ACCME’s PARS database, there were 96 providers reporting 647 REMS‐compliant ACCME accredited CME activities reaching ~168,000 learners.

9 ER/LA Opioid REMS CME Activities
Activity Types

10 Case Study 2 2015

11 Case Study 2 2015 ABIM MOC Alignment of Activity Requirements
Activity registration in PARS replaces individual activity review by ABIM MEMS Diplomate Participant Reporting through PARS to ABIM ActivityReport 2015

12 Accredited CME That Supports ABIM MOC
9/30/15 - 3/31/16 Accredited CME That Supports ABIM MOC Total Activities Registered 2,389 Total MOC Points Earned 2.6 million Unique Diplomates Earning Points 42,541 Difference b/t REMS and MOC projects speaks to the versatility and flexibility of the standards. Helped us be able to implement in a much faster timeframe that we imagined would be possible.

13 2016 Future State Collaboration with other specialty boards
Further alignment of ACCME requirements with ABA and ABP Medical Knowledge (MOC Part 2) activity requirements Web Services for exchanging data between ACCME and boards 2016
