2. Fundraising
The Gladiators decided to raise money to leave a library legacy – some great new titles for future children to enjoy… So… We baked cakes Sold off discarded library books and told stories at the first St Matthew’s Reading Picnic

3. Our Reading Picnic
Our reading picnic was a huge celebration of reading. We are sorry that GDPR restrictions mean that we can’t share more pictures. You can see us storytelling and encouraging the youngest children to get involved – and also working in a team with the staff.

8. It was hard to decide how to spend the money but it was good to see the order.

9. They gave us a discount! We could buy some extras!
Here are some more titles we chose… When the Mountains Roared was recommended to use by Fleur Hitchcock who visited us last term. I Dare You won the Children’s Book Award but we didn’t have a school copy.
