3. Desktop GIS
Displays & analyzes geo-spatial data from local/network drives and/or web services

Graphics for presentations including Congressional briefings
Forecast verification studies
Manipulating variables (scaling & projecting) for use in statistical guidance development

4. Server GIS
Provides users with data which can be:
Displayed & or queried in a web portal
Downloaded and ingested into client’s GIS
Used for custom Decision Support applications
“Web Services” are the predominate request for weather data by customers & partners visiting NOAA booths at technical conferences
