David spoke by Spirit (2 Sam. 23:2) Now these are the last words of David. Thus says David the son of Jesse; Thus says the man raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel: The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue. Work in Revelation Matt 22:43-44 He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord,' saying: The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool" '?

David spoke by Spirit (2 Sam. 23:2) Prophets were moved by the Spirit (2 Pet. 1:20-21) Work in Revelation

14 2 Pet. 1:20-21 Prophecy did not owe its origin to man
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Prophecy did not owe its origin to man Prophecy had its origin from God Use the instrumentality of human authors “Moved” = borne along as a ship moved by the wind Moved by the power of the Holy Spirit

15 The term here used is a very specific one
The term here used is a very specific one. It is not to be confounded with guiding, or directing, or controlling, or even‑leading in the full sense of that word. It goes beyond all such terms, in assigning the effect produced specifically to the active agent. What is "borne" is taken up by the "bearer," and conveyed by the "bearer's" power, not its own, to the "bearer's" goal, not its own. The men who spoke from God are here declared, therefore, to have been taken up by the Holy Spirit and brought by His power to the goal of His choosing. Benjamin Warfield, Inspiration
