WORLD CHANGERS
2
Seeing things through Gods eyes.
3
Vision - the ability to see things that are visible
4
Jeremiah 29:11
5
For I know the plans I have for you, says the L ORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
6
Four parts of a spiritual vision:
7
Requires risk taking
8
Glorifies God not people
9
Promotes faith rather than fear
10
Moves us to action
11
Acts 9:15
12
But the Lord said, Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.
13
Acts 16:6-8
14
Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit
15
had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time.
16
7 Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia,
17
but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there.
18
8 So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas.
19
Acts 16:9-10
20
That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, Come over to Macedonia and help us!
21
10 So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there.
22
How can I begin to see life through Gods eyes?
23
Note the closed doors
24
The visions focus is on a need...come & help us v.9
25
The vision is bigger than you thought at first
26
Acts 16:11-15
27
We boarded a boat at Troas and sailed straight across to the island of Samothrace, and the next day we landed at Neapolis.
28
12 From there we reached Philippi, a major city of that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. And we stayed there several days.
29
13 On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we thought people would be meeting for prayer,
30
and we sat down to speak with some women who had gathered there.
31
14 One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth, who worshiped God.
32
As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying.
33
15 She was baptized along with other members of her household, and she asked us to be her guests.
34
If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord, she said, come and stay at my home. And she urged us until we agreed.
35
Acts 1:8
36
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me
37
everywherein Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
38
APPLICATION:
39
There are no such things as accidents only incidents in the perfect will of God.
