Establish Criteria Compare Alternatives Best Choice Assess Risk Use Decision Analysis to make a choice or selection between options. Use it when: your options are somewhat clear, but the choice is not. there is a high degree of risk involved in the decision. the choice is complex. Examples: Choose new equipment Pick location for a sales office Choose best strategic partner for market expansion project. Choose best 3 cities to test market a new service.

Click on the ‘hand’ icons to reveal the drop-down ‘Coach’ screens to assure you are on the right track. Sample coach screen for Establish Criteria Step.

3 Decision Focus® 6.0 DECISION ANALYSIS New features in 6.0!
Users can input an unlimited number of Musts and Wants in each worksheet. Right click on any cell, and select “insert row” or “delete row.” Rows can be re-ordered within the Musts grid or Wants grid by selecting the row number and dragging it to the desired location in the grid. Copy rows and drag them between the Musts grid and the Wants grid. Add, delete, or clear an Alternatives column. Temporarily hide the criteria weights (to reduce bias in scoring the alternatives). Assess risks for up to six alternatives. The Musts grid and / or Wants grid can now be exported to MS Excel. The Decision Statement can be transferred to the ACTION MANAGER tool to identify further action items and accountability.
