2. V1.3  Introduction
In order to optimize MSI’s barcode application and collect necessary material information to systematize the production process.
Adding VPN, Country of Origin and Production Date on the Carton and Minimum Package label; and changing Box SN to “Reel SN From/Reel SN to” on Outer Carton label.
Remark: You can check whether your new barcode label format is conform to MSI’s requirement via below web site after our testing program is ready (after 2016/5/9):

5. Structure of Carton Label
It’s divided into two parts: QR Code Field and Information Filed.
Notes：
1. The items marked in red are newly added in V1.3.
2. The size of label is not be restricted by MSI, but it should be easy to be read by PDA scanner.

Notes：
1.The items in red mark are the new or modified in V1.3.
2.There is no need to add the unit to the quantity field.
3.Whether to print field: Y means it must be printed; N means non-essential printing fields, when there is no data, it can be empty, but there must be delimiters; S means it must be print selectively.
4.The ”reel SN start” and “reel SN End” must be consistent with what are packed in.

Attention：
While data item is empty,
the delimiter ‘|’ can’t be omitted.

1.The first section is MSI’s supplier code , if the code is less than 5yards,please fill in the front with 0.
2. The second section is the year two yards , please take the AD after the two yards, for example : this year is AD 2013,take 13

20. Q: How do we know the manufacturer code？ A: To check with MSI’s buyer.
Q:Can the delimiter be used in other formats?
A:No, our program can only recognize “|” and it can not be omitted even there is no data for non-essential fields.
Q:Whether the Reel No must be hexadecimal ?
A:Yes, otherwise the program can not recognize it.
Q:If there is no inner cartons but only raw materials in the outer cartons, then how to label the cartons? For example: Fan, Heatsink and so on.
A:The carton is the smallest package, please follow the carton labels’format. If there are Reel No on the raw materials’bodies, then the “reel No Start” and “reel No End” should be consistent with it. If no, then the “reel No start” and “reel No End” should be the same.
Q:How to calculate the period of validity(Exp Date)?
A:The period of validity is the warranty period of product.

21. Q: Whether the size of the QR code can be appropriately adjusted？
A: It can be adjusted according to circumstances, but not too small or too large, not less than the minimum 1.5*1.5.
Q: Whether can we not fill in the wharf ,ORG ？
A:Yes, but no lack of delimiters. And it is best to be filled.
Q:Whether can the VMI replenish order number be omitted？
A:The two-dimensional code and label can be omitted , but the carton should be marked as replenish order number
Q:Whether the environmental attribute tags still attached？
A:No,the IQA followed up see it on the top right corner of the two-dimensional code Label.
Q:Whether the label of month’s color still attached？
A:Yes
Q:When DC identical, LOT is the same , can the PO field be omitted while more PO shipment？

22. A:The number of Item number, LOT, Date Code’s combination.
Q:The same box with the same material, but it is more than one LOT or Date Code, how many pieces of carton label should be printed？
A:The number of Item number, LOT, Date Code’s combination.
Q: what will they do if the vendors have not their MPN？
A: They can use the MSI PN， That is to say the MPN field as the same as the PN field, they are all the MSI PN .
