Create a Managed Metadata Service in Central Administration Add Administrator Start service Create Term Set for navigation Create Group, Term Set & Terms Managed Metadata Central Admin (CA) > App Mgmt > Manage service application New: Managed Metadata Service Select the service SERVICE APPLICATIONS tab: Administrators Quick Launch: System Settings Start Managed Metadata web service Term Set CA > Manage service applications Click link: Metadata (not connection) Add Group, Term Set, & Terms In GENERAL tab add administrator and save INTENDED USE tab, check box for Site Navigation

Go to the site just created Settings > Site Administration > Site Collection Features Contents (see next section) Products (list) Product Catalog (Document Library of pages)

Add field: Name=Country, Type=metadata, Term set=Country Catalog Settings Enable as a catalog Enable anonymous access Add Country and Item Number to URL fields Nav Hierarchy: Country Add some records Select added records and in the ribbon’s Item tab Approve the added records
