2. The Curse
the blood, the death, the curse
the curse was not walking according to the Law
NT law- walk in love always- toward everyone

Galatians 3:13
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

3. Genesis 2:16–17
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
The curse of death was carried by the tree- spiritual death by submitting to evil; emotional death by judging!
“You are what you eat”
Before eating from that tree, man experienced only good
our judgement always involves our flawed preconceptions

4. the necccesity to judge!
Redemption from the curse, therefore, is once again being free from the knowledge of good and evil-
the necccesity to judge!
That comes from the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of peace and truth!
before the fall, everything in the garden was “good”
Remember: nothing you can’t do-w/HS
you become the primary beneficiary
enthusiasm and depression are available in same situation- perspective

5. Genesis 3:9–10
9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
The first thing Adam judged was himself!

6. Genesis 3:11–12
11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” 12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
Next- his wife
Finally- God!
if we’re not careful we can follow the same pattern- difficulty receiving the Father’s love, than pointing the finger at others around us

7. Romans 5:20–21
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The true purpose of the law was to illustrate the impossibility of of self-righteousness; the need for an independent savior
grace- the power of God to do the will of God

8. Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
true is the word- period

9. Luke 6:45
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
The treasure of your heart is your meditation
You only meditate on what you allow in, and allow to stay
Thoughts don’t “pop” into your head!

10. Romans 10:8–10
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Faith always speaks- positive or negative- according to what we’ve been thinking
salvation- deliverance
it begins with a heart convinced of righteousness…being totally acceptable to the Father!

11. 1 Corinthians 13:5
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
it’s rude to judge- think of being judged- cyber bulling
it’s foolishly selfish to judge
judging always involves thinking evil of another- judging intentions

12. Romans 2:1–4 condemn- give judgement against
Romans 2:1–4 (NKJV)
1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Romans 2:1–4
condemn- give judgement against
the goodness of God, not the judgement of God, leads you to repentance!
now, go and testify!

13. 1 Timothy 1:5
5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,
1 Timothy 1:6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, (empty chatter)- judging!

14. Romans 12:2 (AMP)
2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
good- generous, kind….grace..accepting the gift
acceptable- pleasing
perfect- having reached it’s end or completion
achieve the Father’s plan for us!
