For over a decade now LLC has been working with its community partners to deliver skills and training to local residents and employers across London and further afield. We have commissioned close to £30M in that time.
For 2018/19 we are holding events to launch our commissioning priorities and consult with our community partners on skills needs for local residents and employers.
Two main parts to this agenda:
To set out our priorities and those of the GLA
To publish our commissioning schedule and commence our open and competitive tendering process.

Circa £2M Adult Education funding (AEB)
£300K Traineeships
£500K Traineeships

5. What are we commissioning?
Up to 10 contract packages that offer to deliver any combination of programme types. Notionally we are looking at commissioning 3 x South London, 2 x Central London ,2 x East London, 2 x North London and 1 x West London Contract packages.
Priority is to be given to partnerships with LLC that include hosting LLC Local hubs as well as joint delivery models e.g. LLC provides staffing and courses and partners provide community engagement and learner support.
Provision and projects that aim to have a tangible and positive direct impact on the lives of Londoners and which clearly meet GLA Skills priorities.
Provision that achieves progression (into work, higher educational levels) and community involvement.

Infrastructure (policies/procedures, health and safety/safeguarding etc)

12. Commissioning 2018/19 Some tips and pointers
All LLC contracts are performance based – if you don’t deliver you don’t get paid (PS: Neither do we!)
LLC do not charge a management fee, we pay up to 80% of the publicly available LARs rates
All providers are required to attend meetings and share good practice
New providers are charged a one off £500 for due diligence whether or not we take your proposal to contract stage.
