Lesson 2 Patient and PowerForm Selection

2 Ad Hoc Charting The Ad Hoc Charting Feature allows a user to open any PowerForm, any time. Essentially, it is a file cabinet of blank PowerForms. The Ad Hoc Charting window can be opened from either the Case Tracking window or the patient’s chart by clicking the Ad Hoc Charting toolbar button. The Ad Hoc Charting window can also be opened from the Organizer or the Chart by selecting ‘Ad Hoc Charting’ from the View menu. Introduction to SurgiNet PowerForms

3 Patient Selection for Ad Hoc Charting
When you select the option for Ad Hoc Charting, the Patient Search window will display if you do not already have a patient’s chart opened. You can search for a patient using the same methods as you would to look up results or to process orders or review a patient’s chart in eKiDs PowerChart. Introduction to SurgiNet PowerForms

4 PowerForm Selection - Ad Hoc Charting
After you have identified your patient, the Ad Hoc Charting window will display. The Ad Hoc charting window contains two panes. The left side displays folders that group similar PowerForms. The right side contains the PowerForms grouped under the selected folder. Folders are grouped in an order based on specific PowerForms contained within the folder. For example, all the CHKD Speech Therapy PowerForms are available in the ‘CHKD Speech Therapy Evaluation’ folder. Introduction to SurgiNet PowerForms

5 End of Lesson Two When you are ready to proceed to Lesson Three, click on the icon above. Introduction to SurgiNet PowerForms
