3 Manheim Central Manheim Central currently faces a gap of 87.6% between the number of eligible children and those receiving high quality pre-k services. Reach and Risk Report, 2016

4 Focus on Strengthening Outcomes for Birth through Grade 3
Grant Funding Provided By United Way of Lancaster Manheim Central was invited to participate because of our strong early childhood programs developed over the past five years Other districts and agencies who are involved in the proposed partnership: Ephrata, Penn Manor, IU13, CAP of Lancaster, and COBYS’ Family Services

5 Bold Goals for All: Ensuring that 100% of Lancaster County children enter kindergarten ready to learn Parent Awareness—increase outreach and awareness of birth to five early learning services Collaboration and shared ideas amongst partners County-wide strategies that enhance the work of the collaborative Identify disconnects between Early Childhood Education and K-12 Programs

6 What this Could Bring for Manheim Central:
Possible Birth to Age 3 Program Funded and Run Through IU 13 Additional Pre-K at HCB funded through the grant Parents as Teachers’ Program funded through the grant COBYS’ Incredible Years funded through the Grant Opportunity to better serve our birth to grade three families and students

7 What Would Be Required? Attendance By Mrs. Nemeth or Miss Fasick at bi-monthly partner meetings Caseworthy (services) Self-Sufficiency Matrix Pre-K Screening Tool (Already Currently in Place)

8 Timeline January—Districts and Partners Contacted about Possibility
February-Partners present proposal to United Way Late February/Early March-Notification about Acceptance Implement-After July 1
