1 How to use WEBDAV in CIRCABC Pierre Beauregard

2 Requirements You can use any WEBDAV tool to access CIRCABC through this protocol.

3 Access to WEBDAV 1/2 You will need specific information:
Path to your Interest Group (you should be a member) Login & Password Please ask Root url of CIRCABC: You can access the Library or the Information service of your Interest Group.

4 Access to WEBDAV: Example 2/2
Interest group details: Category short name: Informatics // title: DIGIT. Interest group short name : Infohub // title: CIRCABC - information hubService you want to access the library Always use the short name, it will not work with the title. The URL to be used is: And use the credentials that CIRCABC SUPPORT gave you. Login: beaurpi (in my case) Password: ******* (the one given by CIRCABC SUPPORT)

5 Using Total Commander You can use any WEBDAV browser with CIRCABC WEBDAV. Please find below how to configure it with Total Commander

6 Download Total Commander
Use a file explorer to browse WEBDAV in CIRCABC. Total commander is free. To download:

7 Install Total Commander
Follow instructions… You need administrative rights.

8 Total Commander Popup We are using free version. So each time you launch this software, a popup will appear asking to press one button. Click here…

9 Main window Main window looks as following

10 WEBDAV Plugin We will use one plugin to connect to CIRCABC WEBDAV. It should be installed to Total Commander. Download link: Extract the archive

11 Install WEBDAV Plugin 1/3
Open configuration screen of Total Commander

12 Install WEBDAV Plugin 2/3
Go to file system plugin screen

13 Install WEBDAV Plugin 3/3
Click "Add" and search for "davplug.wfx" file. You will find it in the extracted folder. Click Open and Ok to finish installation

14 Add a WEBDAV folder 1/4 In Total Commander, click "network neighborhood"

15 Add a WEBDAV folder 2/4 Browse into WebDav Plugin, then press "F7" on your keyboard to open the connection form.

16 Add a WEBDAV folder 3/4 Give a name "CIRCABC WEBDAV".

17 Add a WEBDAV folder 4/4 Fill the form like following. Connect to:

18 Go to your Interest Group 1/2
Now the connection is configured, click on CIRCABC WEBDAV folder

19 Go to your Interest Group 2/2
On example of Interest Group… Go inside the library.

20 Uploads and downloads Use the file explorer on the right side to upload and download files. Use drag and drop to do it or use commands. You are now ready !
