Basketball, a sport invented by Dr.James Naismith, was also a popular sport played by men and women. In the 1920's, this sport became very popular due to many unemployed men.

Basketball first began in the year of 1892 on the 20th of January
Teams grew across the country in the 1920s
There were thousands of male basketball teams in towns and cities
Sometimes players got drafted from team to team
Instead of being called the NBA basketball was the NBL (Nation Basketball League).
