The Church speaks of conscience as ‘a law written by God’ in the human heart.
Conscience is how the human intellect makes judgments about right and wrong.
Conscience, the voice of our values and convictions, directs us towards integrity in our actions.
However, decisions of conscience are complex. It can be limited, weak or uninformed, just as it can be clear, strong and knowledgeable.
