2 History 65 y/o hispanic (Cuban) male with alcoholic + NASH-related cirrhosis diagnosed in October 03 (since abstinent) Referred for HCC (8.5 cm) management 10/06 PMH DM Asthma Cholecystectomy Obesity Alcoholic cardiomyopathy (compensated)

3 Cirrhosis Hepatic encephalopathy related hospitalization
H/O grade 1–2 varices, no GI bleed No ascites/edema/jaundice Biological MELD – 12 (2006) Diagnosed with 8.5 cm HCC in 2006 on US, CT and MRI during screening AFP in June 2006 was 12,526

4 Medications Digoxin Rifaximin Fluoxetine Montelukast Bumetanide
Spironolactone

6 TACE with ethiodol cisplatin combination and embolisation with gelfoam

7 Post TACE CT scan
