2 Mission Statement The mission of the Decommissioning, Decontamination & Reutilization Division (DD&R) is to promote the development and use of those skills and technologies associated with the optimal management of decommissioning, decontamination, reutilization, and long-term surveillance and maintenance of nuclear and formerly nuclear installations, materials, facilities, and sites for the betterment of society. The target audience for this effort is the membership of the Division, the Society, and the public at large. Recent Change to add long-term Surveillance and maintenance

4 Sessions 2004 Annual Meeting 5 Sessions 2004 Winter Meeting 2 Sessions PBNC Embedded Topical Annual Meeting DDRD/FCWM Topical (Transition to Closure and Legacy Management) August 2005 in Denver Colorado Local Section TMI-2 Session also supported by ETD and OPD Winter Meeting strong focus on DOE initiatives Topical Meeting to Highlight Rocky Flats completion and also working with the DOE Legacy Management group in Grand Junction to highlight this area Dick Raaz Colorado Local Section Head is General Chair, Emmy Roos on Local Planning Committee Planning for something in excess of 100 papers and 200 attendees 3 tracks D&D, Waste Management & Legacy Management
