By Daniel Loria & James Therien

Innovative thinkers have marked the 20th century through their ability to incorporate technological advances and consumer wants. It is through the mixture of these two qualities that both companies and industries have shifted and adapted to new ideas and processes that meet new consumers wants. Competing companies are now at a cross roads in- between what use to be and want will be. This being said we will be studying the choice the automobile industry took when choosing to appeal to the conscious consumers by producing electrical cars.

Execute an analytical study on how electrical cars and the green movement have influenced automobile costumers to the date. With the rapid increase in environmental awareness automobile consumers are turning towards the greener options, why or why not? How has this change affected industry sales and means of production.

Study will be conducted via an in depth research study incorporating various primary and secondary sources along with a well thought of survey presented to random people of all ages. By surveying people of all ages we will inherently collect a broad scope of data that will allow us to pinpoint information based on different demographics. Primary and secondary data will help us build a strong foundation to our question along with the results from our survey.

It is evident that the green movement and the electrics car have had an effect on both the industry and its consumers. People interviewed will be willing, cooperative and truthful when taking the survey and answering any questions.

Through the collection of primary and secondary sources, we will analyze how the green movement affected the automobile industry in the past and present. Using this information we will be able to illustrate a clear depiction of what helped facilitate the change in the auto industry.

Primary and secondary sources will establish a basis for our research, as there are many studies which have explored the green aspects of the auto industry. These Studies are vital in determining how green energy became the focus of auto manufacturers today.

Our research design involved the use of secondary literature collected through various established sources. First hand data will include but is not limited to, surveys and questionnaires.

How did the green energy movement affect the auto industry in the United States? What was the cause for the sudden demand for green vehicles? What types of green vehicles were developed as result of this demand?

Procedures: Distributing samples to friends and family, as well as co-workers. Characteristics: Ages 18+, Drivers License, etc. Methods will include but are not limited to, Cluster sampling, and random sampling, using surveys.

Retrieving surveys by hand, or having participants place them in a designated area will serve as the way in which we collect our data once its distributed.

The main instrument in our study will be a survey. This will serve as part of our primary research Limitations of that survey will be the amount of people we can survey in a set period of time, questions answered in the right format, and how many survey are ultimately filled out
