2 Development environment setup considerations
Client OS installations are no longer supported Windows 8 OS supports also 64 bit clients in Hyper-V Similar hosting options as for SP2010 for virtualized environments Cloud based hosting for development and testing environments is valid option Workflow Manager service can be installed on same server as SharePoint Office Web Apps has to be in dedicated server, if required for development Minimum 8 GB memory for environment, at least 16 GB recommended for development environments with SharePoint

3 Remote development with client side APIs
Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Remote development with client side APIs 2 1 3 1 Clients using remote development tools Preferred option is to use Office365 – you can share even the same instance cross your App developers You can also host your SharePoint Windows Azure IaaS server – so that development occures agains that instance Just as for IaaS, you can do development againts shared on-premises instance – most likely you’d dedicate site collection per developer for testing usage TFS – could be on-prem, hosted in IaaS platform or used as service from cloud 4 1 ? 5 © 2012 Microsoft Corporation.
