Emotions are responses to what happening around us (real or perceived).
My tears have been my food day and night…. My soul is downcast within me… my bones suffer as my foes taunt me….
Psalm 42:3, 5, 10
So that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me.

5. Be joyful always (1 Thessalonians 5:16).
This is possible because:
God calls us to always be joyful, not only joyful.
There are always reasons to be joyful.
