4. Limiting Factors
Explain how conditions in greenhouses can be controlled to optimise the growth of plants.
So now you know about the things that can limit the rate of photosynthesis.
You have to apply your knowledge to different situations regarding growing plants.
Remember that ONE of the products of photosynthesis is glucose, this is used in a plant for RESPIRATION, so limiting the rate of photosynthesis effectively limits the rate of respiration.
If you limit the rate of respiration then you will limit the amount of energy the plant can produce as ATP and therefore limit the amount of growing that a plant can do.
