3 Programme Objective To implement a sustainable diagnostic radiology service to improve patient access across Scotland

4 Programme Deliverables
Integrated working arrangements to allow staff to deliver services across boundaries A single IT and data infrastructure for Diagnostic Radiology Standardised national clinical governance and quality assurance arrangements to support cross boundary working A national approach to Clinical Decision Support software Development of a sustainable national Radiographer reporting / Advanced Practice model Written long term vision for Diagnostic radiology including Sustainable workforce plan Business Case describing “business as usual” beyond 2 years funding

Scope of Projects (1) IT connectivity: Implementation of National Share+ solution Including voice recognition software National Radiology Information and Intelligence Platform Project National dashboard Datamart hosted within NSS Ongoing analytical support

9 Service transformation programme
Scope of Projects (2) Workforce capacity building in Boards and co-ordination of Board engagement Support introduction of IT connectivity Recognises need for co-ordinated engagement with Boards in the short term Service transformation programme Series of projects Short, medium and long term

10 Clinical governance, quality assurance and clinical pathways
Scope of Projects (3) Clinical governance, quality assurance and clinical pathways Develop a clinical governance framework Work with Regions and Boards to support IT connectivity Clinical Decision Support and I-refer Pilot approach and learn from elsewhere in UK Implement national approach

11 Programme Milestones IT connectivity project dates drive phasing Building capacity and board engagement will align with phasing Data project will run in parallel Service transformation programme series of projects Clinical Decision Support and I-refer pilot to be scoped

12 Programme Milestones First 3 boards IT Connectivity go live date end of April 2018 for Cross Boundary Reporting Second 3 boards IT Connectivity go live date end of May 2018 for Cross Boundary Reporting All boards by end October 2018 for Cross Boundary Reporting and Vetting National Radiology Information & Intelligence Platform dates through 2018 The Service Transformation programme will continue beyond 2018 in line with the development of the long term vision for Radiology in Scotland
