5 Events: General Meetings
Company presentation for 40 to 50 minutes Interactive case studies Interviewing tips AIChE coordinates food, room request, and equipment set up AIChE handles publicizing the event through flyers, newsletters, and contacting other societies

6 Events: Coffee Chats ~10 students meet with 2-4 recruiters
Members interact with recruiters in a relaxed, informal setting Great opportunity for members that are very interested in company or have interviews scheduled AIChE coordinates coffee and bagels, room request, publicity

7 Events: Corporate Social
Hosted the weekend before the career fair in the Union Opportunity for members to meet recruiters beforehand in a business casual setting Less formal than career fair AIChE coordinates appetizers, room request, publicity Invite other societies based on company’s request

8 Events: Corporate Tailgates
Hosted 2 to 3 hours before each home football game AIChE coordinates food, grill, games, reserving space, publicity, set-up and clean-up Part of money for tailgate goes towards grill, tent, coolers, and games All corporate money goes towards equipment used at corporate events

9 Events: Mock Interviews
Held within two weeks of the career fair AIChE coordinates with career services for time slots, interview rooms and recruiter gifts Company determines number of recruiters and length of interview Marketed as a way to train new employees or to try out new interviewing techniques

10 Events: Plant Trips Priority for companies that want to host plant trips is given to corporate sponsors AIChE coordinates food and transportation, but the company is asked to reimburse expenses Typically held on a weekend to avoid missing classes

11 Engineering Open House Sponsorship
Companies can specify a type of project or project idea they want to sponsor through survey Students create project proposals with budget breakdown to send to company in January Companies choose which projects to sponsor Can make changes to proposals if necessary Company name displayed on poster during EOH Company approves poster beforehand

12 Phase II – Other Contact Information Date Preferences General Meetings – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Coffee Chats – Mid-morning to afternoon Tailgates – Home football games Mock Interviews – Dates of or prior to career fairs Plant Trips – Preference time of month and semester EOH Sponsorship Types of projects company would be willing to sponsor

13 Company’s Donation After agreement for sponsorship of events, tailor to company’s optimal method of payment Most, if not all, companies prefer to use a credit card In our case, companies need to pay the College of Engineering office in order to avoid transaction fees. From the College of Engineering, the donation needs to transfer to the business office of the School of Chemical Sciences, our department. Jo
