6. In the National Forests of Katowice branch, to which belong the forests of the forest district of Zawadzkie, in 1992 there were the biggest number of fires. It reached about In this time ha of forests had been burned down. The biggest fire was in Rudy Raciborskie which was caused by the local railway transport.
