2. Promises concerning obedience:
1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. (Deut 28:1)

3. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: (Deut 28:2)

4. 10 I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt
10 I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
11 “But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. (Psa 81:10-11)

5. 12 So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.
13 “If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways, (Psa 81:12-13)

6. 14 how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!
15 Those who hate the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
16 But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” (Psalm 81:14-16)

7. 18 “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD
 18 “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; (Isaiah 1:18-19)

6 God “will give to each person according to what he has done.” (Rom 2:5-6)

11. 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; (Rom 2:7-9)

12. How to learn obedience:
Learn to Trust God.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. (Proverbs 3:3)

13. Learn to Wait upon the Lord
Learn to Wait upon the Lord. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

14. Learn to Meditate upon his Word.
6 “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them.
7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. (Josh 1:6-7)

16. Learn to Listen to the Holy Spirit.
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-
17 the Spirit of truth. (John 14:16-17)

17. Be willing to Walk when the way is not clear.
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8)

18. Obeying God:
In small matters is essential.
Proves beneficial to others.
May require some things that seem unreasonable.

19. Will never disappoint.
Allows Him to demonstrate His power.
Results in a deeper understanding of ourselves and God.
Can result in dramatic changes in your life.
