3 Introductory Course on Field Epidemiology
It was first designed for the trainees in the FETP Extended to include public health professionals who interested in epidemiology International course for the public health professionals in the South East Asian region 16/11/61

4 Who are the participants?
2-year training program 11 Thai trainees (9 physicians, 2 vet) 4 Inter trainees; China (2), Cambodia(2) One-month introductory course 7 Thai doctors & public health professional 12 from Brunei, Cambodia, China (Yunnan), Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam 34 participants 16/11/61

5 Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) in Thailand
Began in 1980 27th year of the program 3rd country after USA and Canada International program started in 1998 9th year of the international program 16/11/61

6 Why is the Introductory course?
Providing a basic concept of field epidemiology and public heath (with some biostatistics) Building the network of public health professionals in Thailand and international 16/11/61

Main topics Surveillance and outbreak investigation Epidemiological study designs and biostatistic Public health related issue Group exercise (Problem-based) 16/11/61 Pre-test and Post-test (25 questions)
