Classification and diagnostic criteria for various systemic autoimmune diseases including mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), primary antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Sjögren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and systemic sclerosis (SSc) have been developed, updated and refined over time. Detailed information on the criteria can also be found in Supplementary information S1 (figure). The information shown in these figures is to merely inform about the clinical criteria used for the diagnosis or classification of these diseases; further information on how to apply the criteria can be found in the original references.
