2 Figure 1 An overview of all subjects who started gonadotrophin stimulation in their first assisted reproductive technology cycle after randomization to either short gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist or long GnRH agonist protocol. The questionnaire on self-reported physical health was completed four times at: baseline (visit 0), at the day of oocyte retrieval (visit 1), 3 days after embryo transfer (visit 2), and the day of the pregnancy test days after embryo transfer (visit 3). The quality of life questionnaire was completed at visit 3, but before the human chorionic gonadotropin result was known. If the woman did not have an embryo transfer, the questionnaire was completed at visit 2.
