RSC REDESIGNING SCHOOL COUNSELING Advisory Council Meeting 4 Expanding Resources Redesigning School Counseling (RSC) is an initiative of the American Student Achievement Institute. RSC involves educators, students, parents, and community members in a vision-based and data-driven process through which they design a locally appropriate school counseling program that helps students make targeted choices in areas that impact high achievement and lead to postsecondary enrollment and completion. Schools may use the School Counseling Portfolio designed through the RSC process to meet the American School Counselor Association requirements for the ASCA Recognized Model Program designation and the Indiana Department of Education requirements for the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award.
