GMPLS Routing and Signaling Framework for ODUCn draft-wang-ccamp-oducn-fwk-00 IETF 97, Seoul, South Korea Qilei Wang & Yuanbin Zhang Huub van Helvoort (New co-author)

2 What is ODUCn ODUCn refers to a new signal type defined in [G ]. ODUCn are presented in an interface independent manner, by means of n ODUC instances that are marked #1 to #n through inverse multiplexing. An ODUCn contains n instances of ODUC overhead, OPUC overhead together with 20 5Gbit/s OPUCn TS.

3 What is ODUCn The ODUCn can not be used to support non-OTN client signal. It only provides supervision for transport between ODUk aware points in the OTN.

4 The problem we are trying to solve
Signaling and routing issues related to ODUCn, including necessary extensions to GMPLS protocols such as RSVP-TE and OSPF-TE. This version only covers the requirements of Signaling and Routing. Protocol extensions will be covered in the future version.

5 Requirements of Signaling
Signaling should be able to specify new signal type, traffic information and TS granularity. Signaling should be able to support the setup of new ODUCn contains with mapping and multiplexing capabilities. Support for TPN allocation and negotiation Support for LSP setup of OTUCn sub rates path

6 Requirements of Routing
The routing protocol should be able to indicate which link supports the ODUCn forwarding. Support for advertisement of OTUCn sub rates support information. Support for Tributary Slot Granularity advertisement.

7 The next steps Complete the solution sections of the draft
Request comments on the draft. People who are interested in this topic are welcomed.
