Objectives Partners: Ministry of Social Services, Family and Gender Affairs, WFP and UNICEF Provide unconditional cash transfers to: Contribute to adequate access to food of 25,000 people (8,300 vulnerable households). Support the immediate needs of 6,000 children living in eligible households. Contribute to strengthen government capacity by providing technical assistance. The emergency cash transfer programme builds upon the existing Public Assistance Programme (“PAP” Social Welfare)

3 Process Identification of eligibility criteria for the Emergency Cash Transfers Vulnerability and Needs Assessment: aiming at gathering information on the vulnerability and needs of each household as a result of the hurricane. Beneficiary Selection: through Beneficiary Selection Committees with the support of the Ministry of Social Services Transfer in 3 monthly disbursements: to 8,300 households including 6,000 children Communication to the population

Ensure appropriate communication to the population and promote the use of existing feedback mechanism to guarantee an inclusive approach. Second disbursement to all eligible beneficiaries: 16 January – 19 January Third disbursement to all eligible beneficiaries: 13 February - 17 February
