3 Leagues There are three leagues in the LV area in which we participate
CBL (Community Basketball League) Boys and Girls teams are placed in the his league. Considered to be a recreational level league. However it is not an in-house league. Children are placed in this league based on age as of September 1st, NOT BY GRADE. Birth Certificates used for age verification – Only required for children who will be playing their 1st season in the CBL. Children can play up age levels, but cannot play down, with the exception of U9. Has levels from U9 all the way to U16. U9 has two levels, U9I (Instructional) and U9C (Competitive) 12 Game Season U9I level starts in mid-January and runs through the end of March (No playoffs for U9I level) U9C – U14 starts the beginning of December and runs through beginning of March, with playoffs in mid-March U15 and U16 levels start the beginning of December and run through mid-February with a season ending tournament the end of February. Home games played at the BTCC on Friday nights, Saturday morning/afternoon, and Sunday afternoons. Away games played at other organization’s gyms (ex. Forks Township, Palmer Township, Lower Nazareth, Pleasant Valley, and some eastern NJ teams).

6 Tentative Gym Leases for This Season
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday # of Hours BTCC 6:45 – 9:15 pm 6 East Hills Auxiliary 6:00 – 9:00 pm East Hills Main Farmersville 9 Freedom Auxiliary (2 Courts) 18 Freemansburg 12 Governor Wolf Miller Heights Spring Garden Total 90

7 Tentative Gym Leases for Next Season (Continued)
Front-loaded time slots to weekdays. Schedule was created going with the assumption of 28 teams. The plan is for each non-U9I team to receive 3 hours of weekday practice time/week. U9I is given 1.5 hours of practice time/week. Practices at BASD School gyms follow their holiday schedule and weather closure process. Tentatively, I am hoping to open the gyms for practice the week of November 12th. This will allow for two weeks of practice before the start of the season the first weekend in December. Weekend practice timeslots have be added at East Hills Middle School from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturdays, however they will be considered as extra practice time. Reason this is being done is that historically a large number of weekend timeslots were not being used because of scheduled games. Coaches will have to put in requests by Tuesday at 3:00 pm for the upcoming weekend.

8 Tryouts Tryouts for our LVKBL teams (Boys) and LVGBL (Girls) are taking place for the following levels: 4th Grade Boys – LVKBL Biddy 5th/6th Grade Boys – LVKBL Junior Cadet 7th Grade Boys – LVKBL Cadet 8th Grade Boys – LVKBL Knee-Hi 5th/6th Grade Girls – LVGBL Sign-Ups will be posted via Sign-Up Genius for each of the two sessions. Looking to hold tryouts the week of October 22nd and 29th.

9 Tryouts (Continued) The tryouts will be focused on the following:
Shooting Dribbling/Ball Handling Passing Rebounding Defense Intangibles 5 on 5 Stations will be setup for Shooting, Dribbling/Ball Handling, Passing, Rebounding, and Defense drills with one (two if available) evaluators. After the drills are conducted, the players will be placed on teams to play 5 on 5 games.

10 Tryouts (Continued) Each tryout will last and hour and a half (including warmups). If you wish to have your child placed on a rec level CBL team, there is NO NEED to attend any of the tryouts. In order to be considered for a higher level LVKBL or LVGBL team, your child must attend ATLEAST one of the sessions scheduled. There will be NO exceptions to this rule. If your child does not attend a tryout session, they will be rostered on a CBL rec level team. Any players who do not make the cut or who we feel will get more playing time at the lower level so they can improve their game will be placed in the CBL.
