2 Tribes Location The Cheyenne tribe lived on the Eastern Plains of the land we know as Colorado. They began a knew life on the High Planes. Cheyenne woman wore deerskin dresses and braids in there hair. Cheyenne men wore buffalo leggings and deerskin vests.

3 Shelter The Cheyenne’s lived in tipis that were covered with animal hides and shields. The Cheyenne’s also covered there tipis in rugs.

4 Food (how do they get it)
These are the foods the Cheyenne ate: corn, squash, beans, buffalo, deer, fish, fruit, and berries. This is how the Cheyenne got their foods: fished, hunted, and picked from trees. Woman did most of the cooking.

5 Traditions Moccasins were created by woman artists as a part of their traditional role of preparing clothing for their families. On special days they wore extra clothes. Cheyenne Indians did the sun dance.

6 Interesting Facts The buffalos gave the Cheyenne’s almost everything they needed to survive. Horne’s were used for spoons and headdresses. Hair was used for ropes. Bones were used for spear points, sewing needles, and other tools. Tails were used for fly swatters The name “Cheyenne” means an Algonquin tribe of the great plains. The capital city is Wyoming.
