3 Inter-Agency Referral Form
To be filled out only when appropriate To provide referral for services Send to Maria Perez De-Leon Maria will send to CDLE for processing CDLE will send to Olga Ruiz Olga will send to Maria for processing Sometimes a customer will not want a referral or may not need one, we value your time and know that even though the form is one page and pretty easy to fill out it can get time consuming when added to the other documents you work with. So please converse with your customer first to get a feel for what kind of services they need and want.

The shadowed area is for office use only to be filled out by YOU Your full name here. Your office name here. Most of this form is self explanatory. In the past we have had staff members fill out the customer name in this spot instead of their name. Please make sure the form is legible.

5 Instructions cont. Please include full name, full address and a phone number In most of our Workforce centers there are no outreach workers. Since we are going to implement this policy statewide this part will be increasingly important since those centers will be contacting the customer via telephone to provide information and services. This area gives us information about the family dynamics.

You already know what type of services your agency provides, You only need to fill out the Workforce side. I will explain the services we provide in the next few slides. MEP Staff will be filling out this side of the form.

Labor Exchange Services Assistance in looking for work Resume writing assistance Interview assistance Computer lab Resource center Unemployment Insurance Registration The main service the workforce centers provide is labor exchange It is our duty to assist job seekers and employers to fill both their needs This will include : Read slide When customers are already working and we see them out in the field we let them know that if they register with us it will be easier for them when the job ends to file for unemployment insurance since the registration is already in the system it will only take some very short changes in order for their registration to be in compliance with the UI regulations for work search.

Vocational training Become better employed CDL License CNA Other training WIOA WIOA 167 Grantee (Rocky Mountain SER) All office also assist job seekers in furthering their hiring capabilities by offering training programs and other services for better and higher paying jobs.

10 Pesticide Safety Pesticide Safety training
Training required once per year Required for all farmworkers Only certain office offer this service Brighton Denver Lamar La Junta Can also be trained by employer This service is only offered in these offices. There are new regulations that require this training to be given to all farm workers It is also suggested that any supportive service agencies that visit workers in the field also take this training for their own protection and safety.

Year-round Youth Recruitment Programs WIOA Youth WIOA Youth 167 Grantee Youth training programs We know that your target group is youth 21 and under. We also have programs that can serve the youth in the area.

12 For Employers Employee recruitment
Colorado’s largest database of skilled applicants Prescreening and referral services Listing of job openings on the internet Job fair Interview space Outreach workers walk a fine line between the employer and the worker rights. We need to make sure we keep a good working relationship with the employers because it would be detrimental to our work if the employer does not allow us to visit the workers during working hours. We assist employers in obtaining more workers, provide them with information on regulations and laws and provide any other type of assistance to them.

13 Financial Incentives Worker Tax Credits
On-the-job training reimbursements Unpaid internships Federal Bonding Program These are some programs that are also available through the workforce system. Worker tax credits provide the employer with a tax credit if they hire a person who is in a target group. Some target groups include, ex-offender, TANF or welfare recipient, etc. Employers can also receive reimbursements for OJTs. This can assist a worker to get their foot in the door when they are trying to branch out into an industry where they have no experience in. Unpaid internships can lead to paid positions. Sometimes this is a good option for workers to prove themselves with an employer Federal bonding is for workers who can not get bonding on their own but have a job offer pending approval of bonding.

15 ES-Complaint Resolution
Complaints pertaining to job referrals Complaints regarding wages or conditions regarding farm workers Complaints against the Workforce Center Complaints are initiated at the local level for possible resolution, then elevated to the state office if no resulution. Talk about the different complaints
