2 Social Solidarity In Islam
Solidarity is unity, produces unities of interests, objectives, standards and sympathies. It refers to ties binding people in a society together as on. International human solidarity day on December 20th of each year. Is organized by United Nations to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure dignity for all. It is built on a foundation of global cooperation and solidarity. In a Muslim society you do not live as an individual by your own. Where everyone knows their roles and responsibilities to one another..

3 In a Muslim society you live for all Muslims as they live for you..

4 An-Nu’man ibn Basheer reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”

5 Why is solidarity important in Islam?
The Islamic Sharia enjoins its followers to maintain cooperation, solidarity and unity of feelings and emotions among them, in addition to their materialistic matters. Therefore, they became like the solid cemented structure whose parts enforce each other. Social solidarity in Islam does not stop at the material benefit, which is one of main aspects, but all the needs of the society; individuals and groups, whether these needs are material, moral or intellectual, and in the widest scope of these concepts. All the teachings of Islam affirm the comprehensive nature of solidarity among Muslims. That is why the Muslim community is stranger to individualism, selfishness and negativism. Social solidarity in Islam is not the concern of only the Muslims belonging to the Muslim nation, but also is the concern of all the humankind with all their religions and beliefs within that Islamic society.

6 Solidarity In Islam It is based on kinship and neighborhood:
Rights of your neighbor. Sadakah and zakat. “Those two bases help building strong societies where no one feels the need to hate or harbor envious feelings to others.. Everybody feels loved and joyful as they know they are never alone! This is what humanity and humans are striving for nowadays.. The fact that you don’t see this civil happy Islamic society is just an indication of wrongful application of gods wills and rules of the shariah regardless the solidarity that we want. ”

7  Zakat in Islam The Holy Quran has explicitly stated that there is a portion of the property of the rich that should be given to the poor and needy. Allah exalted He is says: {And those in whose wealth is a recognized right. For the (needy) who asks and him who is prevented (for some reason from asking)} [Al-Maarij: 24,25].   Zakat is the third of the five pillars of Islam. Zakat benefits the one who performs it before Zakat recipient.

8  Zakat in Islam almsgiving does also remove grudge, rancor and hatred of the rich and the wealthy from the hearts of the needy, the poor and those who deserve almsgiving. Zakat creates an atmosphere of love, domesticity, cooperation and mutual compassion between members of the society where such a great merit is performed.  It also helps those needy to not commit crimes or illegal ways to get money thus erasing prostitution and thefts among other ways that degrade the society civilization      those charged with authority among the Muslims to take from the money of the rich what they deem enough to cover the needs of the poor - each one according to his financial capability. It is not permitted in a Muslim community that some people sleep with full stomachs whereas their neighbors are hungry. This is humanity!

9 Neighborhood Gabriel kept on commending the neighbor to me so that I thought he would make an heir. This hadeeth by Muhammad peace be upon him shows how much we should watch for community needs and provide what we can to help one another to watch for each other care..

10 Solidarity extends beyond financial aid:
(Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression) [Al-Ma'idah', 2] When you have a job vacancy, ask your fellow believers: Is there anyone who is jobless? By doing so, we solve the biggest problem the developing countries face, which is unemployment. Unemployment is of two types, a real unemployment and a disguised one. The second type is implied in the job of people whose income does not suffice them

11 practical steps towards the social solidarity:
collaboration is to find a job for jobless members of your family or of your brothers in the Mosque. someone may help an excellent student to study medicine if he does not have enough money to pay the fees of the faculty

12 Conclusion Collaboration is a sign of civilization:
civilization lies in collaboration, solidarity and in bringing efforts together. When you care for the interests of society, you are an exalted person, when you care for others’ concerns, you are more exalted and when you donate your money, time, knowledge and expertise to people around you, you are the most exalted. Collaboration should take the place of competition. Collaberation and kinship are bases of civilized, bonded society with limited needy people and roles for everyone.

13 Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds
