5. The Red Scare
After WWI, the Bolshevik Revolution and rise of Communist Russia scared many Americans leading to a Red Scare
Red Scare- widespread fear of a communist revolution in the US

6. Palmer Raids
Palmer Raids- In a series of raids, the police arrested many, mostly immigrants, who were suspected of being communist
Many immigrants were deported

8. Sacco and Vanzetti Trial
Two Italian immigrants who were known anarchists
Charged with murder and sentenced to death on very little evidence
Many believed they were convicted more for their ethnicity and political beliefs than the facts
