2 When interacting with a substance, waves can do one of 4 things:
Reflected- Waves “bounce” back off of a substance Absorbed- Waves are absorbed by the substance Transmitted- Waves pass through the material but may change speed or direction Refracted- Waves are transmitted but bend.
