Telling the story in a graph

From the description below, sketch a graph of gym attendance for the early morning.
There is a general increase in the data as shown by the trend line as the months progress. The moving mean graph shows a steady uphill movement. In July, being winter, few people get up early in the morning, but as September approaches temperatures get warmer, encouraging early morning gym attendance. Thursdays overall have the most attendance whereas Sundays and Mondays have relatively fewer people. What is missing from the description above? 3. What is included that should not have been? Remember in Times series we talk about the features: trend, season, anything unusual

The average number of people attending the gym in mid-July was about ___ people. That had increased to about ___ people by mid-September. This increase was not constant; for the first month there is no noticeable increase, then from about __ August to the beginning of September the trend increased. In September the trend is reasonably ______ again. For the __ months from July ___ to September ___ the ________ number of people attending the gym has increased at the rate of ___ person every ___ days. There is a _________ pattern to the attendance. Weekends generally have the lowest attendance with between ___ to ____ people. The highest attendance occurs during the working week when attendance is about ___ to ____ people more than the trend. These weekly fluctuations in attendance increased from July to September. The number attending the gym over this time period ranges from ___ to ___ .

Trend: The average number of people attending the gym was about 28 in Mid July, dipped to about 25 by mid august and returned to about 28 by the middle of September. The trend is slightly curved. Season: The highest number of people are at the gym midday on the weekends, when approximately 30 to 35 people attend. Attendance is lower during the week when there are usually between 20 and 25 people. The weekly fluctuations from the trend are small , usually within 10 of the trend and have remained fairly constant over the time period. Range: The number of people at the gym at midday has ranged from 20 to about 35.

Trend: The average number of people attending the gym was fairly constant at about 34 people from mid July through to mid September. The trend is almost a horizontal line. Season: The lowest number of people are at the gym in the evening on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, when approximately 15 to 20 people attend. Attendance is higher Mondays to Thursdays when there are usually between 40 and 50 people. The weekly fluctuations from the trend are quite large, usually 15 to 20 away from the trend. These fluctuations have remained fairly constant over this time. Range: The number of people at the gym in the evenings has ranged from 9 to about 52.

Homework answer Monthly income for the gym from members’ subscriptions remained fairly constant at about $ from June 2009 to December 2010. In January 2011 the gym received its lowest monthly income of about $12500. The next 3 months when the gym began an advertising campaign, saw the income increase to $14500, before falling again to around $13500. How many of the key word missing are numbers? ( 9/18; 4/18 are dates) Why can I refer to advertising and buying equipment? Did I say that this was the cause of the increase?? From mid 2011, when the gym started to purchase new equipment, until March 2012 the gym has seen an increase in income each month. The steepest rise occurred between February and April 2102 when income rose by $3000 to reach $ Since then the income has remained close to $18500. From the beginning of 2011 until August 2012, income has risen on average by about $300 per month.
