Gather relevant information from multiple authoritative print and digital sources. Relevant - has to do with the topic Information is relavant to the research question Information is focused to provide detailed evidence for your argument/explanation.

4 College Ready Students...
Gather relevant information from multiple authoritative print and digital sources. 3-4 sources for each research question. Print sources - books, magazines, newspapers, etc. AND Digital sources - websites, blogs, videos, etc.

5 Keep in Mind Is it relevant to the research question?
Is it relevant to what I have to write next week.  The argument (Statement of Problem) or The explanation (Technical Background) Is it the most authoritative source available? Do I have a sufficient number of sources?

6 College Ready Students...
Gather relevant information from multiple authoritative print and digital sources. Gathered from the most authoritative (expert) sources available.

7 Assess the Usefulness of your Sources
Think about how relevant, authoritative, and useful to the Statement of Problem or Technical Background each of your sources is. Highlight the row for each source Green - Very useful Yellow - Somewhat useful Orange - Not very useful
