5. Questions for group discussion:
Within your Domain Group, discuss the following questions:
What role do the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI’s) have in facilitating the regeneration of urban and rural economies ?
Does the Cultural and Creative Industry have an impact on the citizens in your region? If so, then please explain what kind?
Aside from funding, what does your group view as the major problem faced by the CCI’s in your area?
Is there a direct relationship between the number of CCIs and the degree of socio-economic development within this region. (the aim is to see if there is a causal link between the CCIs and socio- economic development).
How do you envisage the role of research and knowledge institutions such as SACO, to benefit and support the work that you do?
Are there alternative forms of expression and entertainment in the arts and what is the youth doing to redefine the arts and culture space they occupy; and how is this fundamentally changing the arts environment?
Can you please share some of the experiences and networks of creative and innovative work and economic activity which take place in your region?
