Vocation to the Religious Life is a priceless grace by which Christ invites qualified and chosen souls to live in closer union with Him. He has said,
“You have not chosen
Me, I have chosen you!”
What a privilege
is yours!

3. Living the Religious Life
Seeking God’s Will as a Sister of the Divine Spirit gives every assurance of a full, rich, noble, satisfying life.
It gives purpose to a daily routine, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
Following the directives approved by the Church, the Sister’s life becomes universal in its scope and takes the form of a larger Community in union with the mind of the Church.
In Community lies a joyful spirit of belonging, of sharing in prayer, work and recreation.
Herein exists a bond of love with those who share the same goals and ideals of
Life-Time Giving
for Christ.

4. An American Foundation
The Congregation of the Divine Spirit was established in Erie, Pennsylvania, by Archbishop John Mark Gannon on the Feast of the Sacred Heart in 1956.
Our Motherhouse is now located in Canton in the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio.
Seeking God and desiring to find Him in our Religious Family calls for a sustained Act of Trust in Divine Providence. It is a singular privilege and one that is worth the sacrifice of unbounded generosity.
Our Apostolate
The special mission of our Community is to aid in the spiritual growth of the Christian Family through the Ministries of Education and Care for the Aged
