7 Government that is NOT all powerful
Government that is NOT all powerful. Limited by those powers given to it by the people.

8 FEDERALISM

9 Power is divided between the national and state governments.

10 SEPARATION OF POWERS

11 Division of the national government into three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial.

12 CHECKS AND BALANCES

13 The three branches have the power to check the other branches activities to prevent the abuse of powers!

14 INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

15 Rights the government is obligated to protect
