Cooled from molten rock (magma) Intrusive: slow cooling and crystallization Extrusive: quick cooling at the surface Sedimentary Formed at the Earth’s surface by compacting sediment (rocks + organic material) Metamorphic Changed by pressure, temperature and fluids.
