On December 7, 1941, the Japanese Navy began a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.
This attack led to the United States involvement in World War II.

Maui is the location for Humpback Whale Watching from December 15 to April 15 each year as the massive Humpbacks migrate to Hawaii's warm waters.
